August 22, 23, 24 & 25, 2019


Festivities begin Thursday evening with the Feast of Santa Lucia,
and continues all weekend with the 100th Feast of Saint Anthony on Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

..Thursday, August 22nd

5:00 PM
Opening Ceremonies & Procession of the Feast of Santa Lucia - Exposition & blessing of the Statue of Santa Lucia and devotees. The Statue of Santa Lucia will then be brought in solemn procession through the streets of the North End accompanied by Italian street bands, flower girls and color guard.

6:00 PM
Get up and dance while enjoying an old fashioned feast night in the neighborhood!

10:30 PM
A candlelight procession will welcome the statue of Santa Lucia back to the outdoor chapel for her overnight vigil.

ALL WEEKEND

Filippo Berio Culinary Stage & Tasting Tent - Featuring Boston’s best chefs showcasing their “Cucina Italiana” - stop by for some fabulous demonstrations & tastings of a selections of Filippo Berio’s new pesto and olivata.

Regina Pizzeria Open Air Piazza - Enjoy an imported ice cold Stella Artois Beer or a glass of vino, and of course a slice of their world famous pizza.

Dragone Cheese Tasting Tent - Drop by for unique recipe suggestions and enjoy selections of sumptuous fresh mozzarella, ricotta and aged parmesan uniquely prepared for the feast.

12 NOON
Enjoy lunch and the afternoon at the Feast while listening to traditional feast music on the main stage.

2:00 - 7:00 PM

LIVE from the Feast it’s the Mix 104.1 FM Afternoon Drive Team. Drop by and say hello and have some laughs with Gregg Daniels, Fast Freddy & Amanda Giles, join in the fun and win some special prizes, brought to you by Dragone Cheese.

6:15 PM
Members of the societies take the statue Santa Lucia in procession to St. Leonard Peace Garden to greet our Parish priests and accompany them to the feast for opening ceremonies of St. Anthony’s Feast.

7:00 PM - ST. ANTHONY'S FEAST
Opening Ceremonies of St. Anthony’s Feast - The exposition and blessing of the statue of Saint Anthony, members, fellow devotees and the streets of the North End.

Opening Parade - The statue of Saint Anthony is taken in procession to the outdoor chapel followed by a short parade through the streets of the North End with Italian marching bands.

7:15 PM
A great Live Performance on the Main Stage.


..Saturday, August 24th

12 NOON
Enjoy all your favorite songs from yesterday on the Main Stage.

5:00 PM
Outdoor Celebration of the Eucharist - Celebrate a special mass in honor of Saint Anthony, followed by a Blessing with the Relic of Saint Anthony & distribution of Blessed Saint Anthony Bread.

6:30 PM
Benvenuti Parade - Join in the fun with members and Italian marching bands in parade as we welcome everyone to the neighborhood.

7:00 PM
Dance the night away to a live performance on the main stage.


..Sunday, August 25th

10:30 AM
Mass celebrated in Italian in honor of Saint Anthony at Saint Leonard of Port Maurice Church, Hanover Street, North End.

12 NOON
Grand Procession of Saint Anthony - Join us for the start of the ten hour grand procession. The statue of Saint Anthony is carried through the streets of the North End accompanied by Italian street bands, award winning drum & bugle corps, school marching bands, sponsor floats, and color guard.

1:30 PM
Enjoy the afternoon at the Feast – Live music on the main stage.

9:30 PM
Feast Grand Finale - Saint Anthony returns to Endicott Street amidst confetti and streamers.

10:30 PM
Drawing & announcement of the Saint Lucy Feast Charity Raffle.

10:45 PM
Closing Ceremonies of 100th St. Anthony’s Feast - Join us for the candlelit last walk of Saint Anthony to his permanent chapel.

Visit the Dragone Cheese Tasting Tent throughout the weekend for a sampling of Dragone Italian Cheeses including sumptuous fresh mozzarella with summer tomatoes, delicious lemon ricotta cookies and delicate aged parmesan bruschetta uniquely prepared for the feast.


Public Transportation

Commuter Rail to North Station: walk down Causeway Street and turn right onto Endicott Street.

Commuter Rail to South Station: Make connecting stops to T stations below. You may also take a taxi to the North End or walk down Atlantic Avenue to get your miles in.

T via Green or Orange Lines to North Station: Causeway Street Exit, take right and walk down Causeway Street toward the North End, enter Feast via Endicott Street on right. Valenti Way Exit, head straight toward North End, enter Feast via Thacher Street

T via Green or Blue Lines to Government Center Station: walk through Boston City Hall Plaza and the Rose Kennedy Greenway toward the North End. Bear left on Cross Street take right on Endicott Street OR walk straight down Salem Street, take left at Prince Street and Left on Thatcher into the Feast.
