Celebrate the 106th anniversary of Saint Anthony’s Feast and the 104th anniversary Feast of Santa Lucia.
The Feast kicks off with the Procession of Santa Lucia as the Patroness of the Eyes is carried by devotees through the streets of the North End. Performances by the Italian American Band of Lawrence and the Roma Band of Boston.
The members of Saint Anthony and Saint Lucy Societies process with the Statue of Santa Lucia to Saint Leonard’s Church to welcome Bishop Robert Reed, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston, Father Michael Della Penna, OFM, Pastor of Saint Leonard’s Church, and Father Federico Cinocca, Priest in Residence at Saint Leonard’s Church to join us in procession and offer the blessing to Saint Anthony and his devotees.
Saint Lucy returns to her permanent chapel and Saint Anthony makes his debut on Endicott Street. Saint Anthony is then carried by members on a short procession to the outdoor chapel at approximately 7 pm where he will remain on display throughout the weekend. Performances by the Italian American Band of Lawrence and the Roma Band of Boston.
The Benvenutti Parade welcomes visitors to the North End and to the Feast. The parade includes the Banner of Saint Anthony which was hand painted by our late member Ralph Contrado. Performances by the Italian American Band of Lawrence and the Roma Band of Boston.
The Grand Procession of Saint Anthony begins at the Outdoor Chapel on Endicott Street is a not to be missed highlight of the Feast weekend. The statue of Saint Anthony is carried by eight men at a time for ten hours throughout the streets of the North End of Boston. Devotees pins donations to the Saint in honor of prayers asked and answered and in memory of family and friends. Performances by the North Star Drum & Bugle Corps, the Boston Crusaders Senior Drum & Bugle Corps, the North End Marching Band, the Abbruzzi Band, the Italian American Band of Lawrence, Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps, the Roma Band of Boston, and the Salem High School Marching Band.
Join Father Michael Della Penna, OFM as he offers an Outdoor Celebration of the Eucharist on our Main Stage.
Following Mass, attendees can receive a blessing with the Blessed Relics of Saint Anthony and Saint Lucy. The Blessed Relic of Saint Anthony is a piece of bone which was gifted to the Society in 2001 from the Pontifical Basilica Di San Antonio in Padua, Italy. The Blessed Relic of Saint Lucy is a preserved piece of skin from the Sanctuary of Saint Lucy in Venice, Italy and were gifted to the Saint Lucy Society of Boston in 2022. Both relics are displayed in a beautiful reliquary that was designed and sculpted from wood by Gregor Mussner of Mussner G. Vinvenzo Ars Sacra in Ortisei, Italy. Blessed Saint Anthony Bread is also distributed at the Outdoor Chapel following the Mass.
Join our members as we celebrate an Italian Mass at Saint Leonard of Port Maurice Church located at 320 Hanover Street, Boston, MA. Join us following the Mass for the Grand Procession of Saint Anthony through the streets of the North End.

Chef demonstrations occur hourly throughout the Feast weekend at the Culinary Pavilion located on the corner of Thacher and Endicott Streets. Visit our nearly 100 vendors selling authentically Italian sweet and savory foods, jewelry, novelties and more! Purchases can be made directly to vendors, so make sure to bring cash as not all accept electronic payments.

As a means of safety and security, no bags, beverages, or containers may be brought into the Feast area. Surveillance will be in use and security personnel will be present. Attendees and belongings are subject to search.
